Start your day of adventure trying something completely new – an exhilarating introduction to the world of cable wakeboarding!
Designed to get you up on your feet and experiencing the thrill of a wakeboard, have fun in this introductory cable wakeboarding session in the safe and shallow waters of the sheltered Hove lagoon.
Ride the board, towed across the water by a specially designed cable which enables you to develop and improve your riding skills easily and smoothly – you’ll be performing tricks on the obstacles and shredding that cable in no time!
Under the expert guidance of friendly instructors, learn the basic board skills and get confidently started, building up your speed and having fun moving on the water.
Whether it’s your first time on a wakeboard or you’ve been board riding for years, cable wakeboarding is a great way to focus on your riding skills, and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
For lunch, head to the legendary Brighton Palace Pier to pick up souvenirs and a traditional fish and chips, and enjoy a lounge in a deckchair by the seaside with a 99 Flake (or three!)…
In the afternoon, continue the adventure with a hike along one of the most picturesque sections of the South Downs Way. Teeming with birds and wild flowers enjoy one of the best known climbs to the highest point in East Sussex, the Ditchling Beacon.
Explore the expanse of the Iron Age hill fort and see the glorious 360 degree views from the summit, looking far South out to sea, North to the Weald or east-west as the sun sets across the expansive and undulating plains of the Downs.
With sandy toes and a sun-kissed nose, it’s finally time to return for drop-off at 18:00 pm at Withdean Sports Complex park & ride, BN1 5JD or alternatively at 18:30 pm Hove Train Station, BN3 3RX.
Walk details: 6.4 km / 4 miles | Total ascent 211 m | approx. 2 hours
Terrain: A moderate route, some hilly stretches, travelling high above the surrounding landscape, with tremendous views in all directions. Largely obstacle free (no steps or stiles, but possibly some gates). Chalk and flint paths and grassland.
