Start the day with a fun and exhilarating introduction to the sport of wind surfing!
This introduction to windsurfing will get you up-and-going, and having fun moving through the water.
With an expert instructor, develop the core skills and confidence needed to develop your stance, position your feet and harness the power of the wind.
There’s plenty of fun guaranteed, as you learn how to get balanced on the board, make a 180 degree turn, get into a ‘sailing position’ and steer – all in safe and shallow waters and with the perfect equipment for your ability, to make learning to windsurf simple and ensure your success!
After a picnic lunch, the adventure continues with a coastal hike to Dorset’s famous Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast of England. Reward yourself at the summit with spectacular panoramic coastal and countryside views across the Jurassic coast – England’s first natural UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Finally, it’s time to rest your feet and have a well-earned refuel at a local watering hole, before returning for drop-off at 18:00 pm Poole Train Station, BH15 2BQ or alternatively at 18:15 pm Harbourside Car Park, BH15 1UZ .
Walk details: 5 km / 3 miles | Total ascent 208m | approx. 1.5 hours
Terrain: A moderate route, reasonably level, travelling high above the surrounding landscape, with tremendous views in all directions. Some stretches of steep ascent, with the most strenuous section over the Golden Cap. Largely obstacle free (no steps or stiles, but possibly some gates). Expect stony and grassy track surface, there may be wet, uneven and soft sections.
