Meet your guide, Katie

Greetings, I'm Katie. My interests include travel, sports, jumping in puddles and lots of chatting about adventures.
I'm fortunate to have lived and worked in several different countries and have been able to combine that with my love of exploring the great outdoors.
I'm sure I read somewhere that weekends were designed for walking, fun and seeking out cake, who am I to argue?!

Day Itinerary

Meet your guide at 09:00 am Mount Pleasant Park & Ride, DT3 5HJ or alternatively at 09:30 am Weymouth Train Station, DT4 7BN.

Start the day with a coastal hike to Chapel Lookout. Learn about the geology and ecology of the dominating chalk landscape as you hike through ridges and valleys stretching along one of Britain’s finest coastlines.

After a picnic lunch, the adventure continues with one of the most challenging and exciting ways to discover the secrets of the coast – coasteering!

This is a truly adrenaline-fuelled and physical adventure. You can expect plenty of scrambling over rocks and jumping off cliffs as we reach those hidden and most unreachable stretches of the Dorset coastline.

With an expert instructor, you’ll be swimming between the dramatic Dorset cliffs and exploring hidden sea caves in the most exhilarating coastal activity there is.

Coasteering is a great way to get up-close-and-personal with Dorset’s marine species including birds, crabs, fish and seagulls a-plenty as you navigate between the sea and coast on this unique adventure-trail.

Finish the day with a stop-off at one of the most iconic locations in Dorset, the historic Corfe Castle, for an afternoon ice-cream before returning for drop-off at at 18:00 pm Mount Pleasant Park & Ride, DT3 5HJ or alternatively at 18:30 pm Weymouth Train Station, DT4 7BN.

Walk details: 5.2 km / 3.2 miles | Total ascent 132m | approx. 2 hours
