That’s all Folks!

I can’t believe that it is October already!

I feel like this season has disappeared so quickly. But we had some fun along the way, didn’t we? ?

As I write this, I am grinning ear-to-ear just thinking about all the magnificent places we’ve been to this year. It really has been one epic adventure.

I’m always asked every season about my personal favourites, but that is like choosing between cheese or chocolate…

Our tours really do make me smile every morning and I hope you have taken some happy memories home with you in 2020 x

Mountain biking in the Wye Valley
Bread making in the South Downs
Coasteering in Dorset
Bat hunting in the Cotswolds
Falconry in the South Downs
Sea kayaking in Dorset
Quad biking in the Chilterns

With all the Covid-19 uncertainty, and the situation constantly evolving over the summer, our green spaces have never been more needed.

I was more determined than ever to provide opportunities for everyone to get out into the UK countryside and explore more.

And I was so pleased (and extremely lucky and thankful!) to have the support of the whole GoTread team on this.

It is with great organisation, planning and skill that our tour guides craft these adventure days out – each one, being something unusual and wonderful and stimulating. Our task – as always – is to delight others!

Can we get a round of virtual applause for all our leads and drivers this season? Sue, Trevor, Chris, Katie, Teresa, Stu, Steve and our own in-house photographer Will – a big thank-you to you all!

As ever I am also extremely grateful to each one of our members for your continued support and generosity in donations.

As a not-for-profit organisation our funds this year are all going to causes to support the healthcare workers and those on the front line working to contain this virus and keep us safe.

The goal with GoTread tours is always to pay kindness forward and it’s certainly true that a little good will goes a long way!

As promised, the tours for 2021 are beginning to go up!

What do you think about the new look-and-feel for the website? Fortunately, we have the talented design work of Daniel and Chloe from forty8creates to make sure that everything looks top notch!

There are few days left on this month’s competition – if you haven’t yet entered be sure to give it a go!

I have several of these rather fabulous aprons from Jack Fetherstonhaugh’s popular series Movement in Birds” to give away! Just send your answers by 31st October.

I hope you have a wonderful Halloween – our decorations are, thanks to little Mel, already up ? Until next time, Melsx
