Your Guide: Trevor
Not planes, nor trains, nor automobiles but boots, boats and bikes. That sums up how I like to get around. And whether it’s a trip to the shops, Shropshire or Samarkand, the journey should be at least as good as the destination!
That’s why I love getting out on Go Tread trips. Taking in the scenery, sharing some stories about the geology, archaeology and history of wherever it is we might find ourselves, sharing some new adventures and making new stories as we wend our way through the landscape.
High Weald Kite Buggy and Hiking Tour
TOUR DATE 1: SATURDAY 03rd AUGUST 2019 – SOLD OUT
TOUR DATE 2: SUNDAY 15th SEPTEMBER 2019 – SOLD OUT
How much fun is it to fly a kite? Combine that with racing down the beach at 50mph and you’ll have one of the most adrenaline-fuelled experiences on dry land – Kite Buggying!
You’ll start this adventure with one of the most loved hikes in the magnificent High Weald – an exploration of the sights that once inspired Rudyard Kipling.
Discover the ancient woodlands, babbling streams and panoramic views of this famous medieval landscape. With follies, mills and Oast houses a-plenty, this leisurely hike showcases the timeless beauty of East Sussex.
Take a well-earned break with a lunchtime picnic in the heart of the Weald, soaking in the sunshine with snacks and bubbly, before continuing the adventure with the ride-of-your-life!
Set within the only sand dune formation in East Sussex, you’ll spend the afternoon enjoying the pristine beaches of Camber. The perfect location for Kite Buggying, Camber Beach is famous for its smooth ocean breeze and endless silky sands as far as the eye can see.
Easier and faster to learn than Kitesurfing, and completely land-based, Kite Buggying is a fantastic activity and perfect for all ages and abilities.
With an expert instructor, you’ll learn how to fly your power-kite and be introduced to the techniques used in traction sports. Discover how to use all the features of the kites including how to steer, judge the wind, maintain control, break, and land.
And there’s no need for balance! Kite Buggying uses lightweight and manoeuvrable three-wheeled buggies – so you’ll be seated the whole time using your arms to fly the kite and your legs to steer.
Kite Buggying is a great introduction to kite sports – we’ve got no doubt that after this experience you’ll want to try more of this addictive hobby!
Finally, enjoy a perfect end to your adrenaline-fuelled day, watching the sun set across the beautiful Sussex coast.
