FAQ

I’m booked onto a GoTread trip – what does that include?

All GoTread trips are a unique experience. No two are ever the same! We include:

  • Pick-up from a main train station and transportation to the start of the tour
  • Trekking and other activities with regular breaks and photo opportunities
  • Touristic views and exploration of the sites including local history and folklore with our experienced tour guides,
  • Picnic, snacks and drinks
  • At the end of the trip, return transportation to the train station.

I reserved my place but now I can’t make the trip – what should i do?

If you need to cancel your trip, please let us know as soon as you can. We’ll offer your spot to another member.

Alternatively drop us a line at info@gotread.co.uk and we can change your trip date so that you don’t miss out!

What happens to the tour if the weather is bad?

A GoTread trip is, by its nature, exposed to natural variables, including the weather. We work very hard to ensure that you get the maximum enjoyment out of your experience (even if the weather is disappointing!).

However, there may be occasions when we are forced to vary a trip at short notice; in the rare event of a cancellation we will schedule an alternative day out.

I like the idea of the trekking and activities but I’ve never done it before – how do I know it’s for me?

All GoTread trips are tailored to provide physical challenge and a sense of achievement; each is graded according to difficulty (Easy, Moderate and Hard).

If it is your first time and you’re feeling unsure why not try an Easy or Moderate trip and see how it feels?

Should you need a break during the trip our minibus driver is on hand to pick you up for a well-earned rest!

I am not sure what I need to bring?

The most important thing for you to bring is sufficient food and water to stay well-hydrated and keep your energy levels up whilst you’re out all day!

Comfortable walking boots are essential and also warm, durable outdoor clothing that can cope with gusts of wind and rain.
