A NEW STARTApril 24, 2021 3:50 pm
A Happy New Year to everyone in these crazy and rather rotten circumstances and I do hope your festive season was as lovely as you could make it 🎀
I sit patiently glued to every media announcement, hoping each day will bring better news – it will come!
But hopefully in the meantime I can cheer you up just a little bit with inspiration for adventure in 2021. Here’s to planning for better days!
LOOKING FOR SOMETHING NEW?
GoTread 2021 tours are now all up on the website and I am very proud of the selection for this year.
Adrenaline-junkies, wildlife-lovers, water-babies or all those enthusiasts keen to master a new skill – in 2021 we’ll be trekking far-and-wide across 10 different National Parks and AONBs with a wonderful range of trips for different abilities and interests.
As always, I have so many personal favourites that it is hard to choose just one! I do recommend that you make this your year for going somewhere you haven’t been before and trying something you haven’t done before.
You all know I swear by new experiences and, as the saying goes, if someone says you can’t do it – do it twice and take pictures!!
We have been inundated with requests for longer trips and weekend stays and this year I am delighted to welcome back the absolute legend that is Steve England for our Pembrokeshire coastal foraging weekend getaway. Steve always makes every outing epic and I have no doubt that the fried butter will be out in full force on this trip 😉
#DIVERSITY IN ADVENTURE
And finally, I would like you all to give a warm welcome to the newest members of the GoTread expedition leader team – Andy, Dennis, Kevin, Norah, Siontai and Tino!
I am delighted that the team is growing year on year – a bigger team means more adventures in more locations (and also hopefully you don’t get stuck with Mel’s music playlist on every tour).
You’ll meet our newest recruits on all the trips this year as they train as expedition leads and work as part of the GoTread team helping us bring people closer to nature and transforming outdoor adventure to make it more inclusive for everyone.
If anyone wants further help and advice with selecting adventures for this year please drop me a line and I will be delighted to help! Until then, I am dreaming of the not-too-distant future when we can meet in the sunshine. Keep Adventuring Mel x
